WINTERKÃLTE are live on stage like a force of nature describes quite good how merciless their live performances overrun the audience and carry the crowd away to destroyed and contaminated landscapes. Walls of pounding and complexe electronic beats melt together with turned in sounds and crazy noises to a danceable maelstrom of electronic sounds.
Since their founding in 1991 WINTERKÃLTE stand for progressive electronic music without any compromises and borders. With their selftitled first LP in 1996, which is available again on CD as First Album and and the milestone Structures of Destruction in 1998 they founded the genre Ryhthmic Noise. Today they became a kind of inventory of many European Festivals like Maschinenfest, Wave-Gotik-Treffen and Forms of Hands. Be prepared for one of their rare oversea shows.
At a time where the term “Industrial” mainly stands for brainless and harsh preset sounds and the effort breaking acoustic taboos without any substance, Raoul Rotation and his project Noisex are a shining fire sign and an exception since 1990.
When Raoul founded Noisex, he was certainly influenced by great names such as Skinny Puppy, Throbbing Gristle or Esplendor Geometerico, but very soon he created his own distinctive style, which could be heard on his debut “Out Of Order (1996) for the first time: Minimal Loops, harsh sound carpets and the contribution of Rudy Ratzinger of :Wumpscut: as a singer and producer made the album a classic of its genre.
“What genre?” you might ask.
Indeed, the term "Industrial" was already inadequate to define the complexity, color and the humour of the world of Raoul Rotation.
With the track " United (Noise Power Movement)" he created the now well recognized "Power Noise" genre, which combines the divergent elements of Post-Industrial, IDM, hardcore techno, drum & bass and Breakcore and dissociates by its complexity , structure and depth from the normal Industrial act.
"Over and Out" provided a congenial mix of harsh, powerful sequences, accompanied by well-structured, intelligent melodies, technoid minimalist grooves and electronics.
Apart from these publications, Noisex had built up an excellent reputation as a live act. For example, Raoul quite early found his way to America, where he had numerous liveappearances and made a name for himself as excessive live act.
Raoul Rotation is one of the few German Industrial Acts, which had gained a strong international reputation - and even fans from outside the scene reacted enthusiastically: Despite his many appearances, you will have to wait until winter 2008 for new material. Then finally, the new Noisex album "Schlag 13" will be released, the first album with English and German lyrics which will manifests Raoul Rotation’s reputation as a pioneer of Power Noise once again!
Synapscape started back in 1994 during experimental sessions of Tim, Phil and Hell- G. They just wanted to release a tape but certain circumstances made it possible that they released the first Ant- Zen CD album ever. Since then various albums have been released (latest one: 'now' released in 2007) and for sure there are some more planned to come. They also played lots of live shows in Europe and also some in the U.S.. Playing in Montreal will be the first time for them in Canada. Their music can be described as electronic rhythm industrial variing from simple to complex.
Imminent is a Belgian musical project formerly, and still commonly known as Imminent Starvation. It is a staple act of Germany’s industrial and power noise record label, Ant-Zen.
Imminent Starvation was founded by Olivier Moreau, who has been its only member since its inception. In 1999, Moreau destroyed his mixing table, and gave away its pieces with the limited edition of his release Nord. Shortly thereafter, the name Imminent Starvation was shortened to just Imminent.
Moreau participates in a number of side-projects and other collaborations, such as Axiome, Myrza, Ambre, Delta Files, 2 Be Freak, Torsion, and Urawa.

Jerome Soudan started playing music at the age of 5 years old at the Conservatory of Chambery, France. He learnt to play orchestral percussions, the clarinet and later on, acoustic and electronic drums. He obtained a master degree in musicology specializing in 20th century music at the University of Lyon, France receiving a distinction in 1993, after submitting his master thesis on industrial music. Jerome Soudan then settled down in Paris where he worked with numerous contemporary composers such as Kasper T. Toeplitz for the GRM (Maison de Radio France) or with rock bands such as Les TŽtines Noires or industrial bands such as Von Magnet. In 1996, he moved to Berlin where he started to work as a composer and percussion player with the experimental band Column One. In 1998, he started his own solo project named MIMETIC. The group, which exists since 1968, has become one of the main references in terms of ”new music”.
During all these years, Jerome Soudan released numerous CDs or vinyls with various bands on different labels such as Ant Zen, Hands, Parametric, Moloko+. To date, MIMETIC holds no less then 15 releases. Jerome Soudan took also part in several concerts, live acts, dj sets or performances all over the world (Europe, USA, Mexico, Canada, Japan …). He will also become one of the ART ZOYD composers for “Eye Catcher” (with the visual performer Cecile Babiole), which will be presented to the public in Valenciennes on 28 November 2007. In 2008, Jerome Soudan will celebrate the 10th anniversary of his solo project.

Architect is a hybrid of minimalistic drum'n'bass and smooth ambient soundscapes explored by the electronic mastermind daniel meyer. like an architect who built up his constructions in different layers and channels, also daniel is working with this method by using only sampling tools. he's constructing abstract sonic buildings which seem to be peculiar transparent - like concrete frames without any surfaces in a pleasant familiarity. the cold polyrhythmic drumcodes are bet into a melted ambience of safety and grace. it's the warm timbre of this ambient drum'n bass recording which creates its own unique sonic profile. daniel meyer's musical activities began about 7 years ago with the electro-industrial project haujobb. since the last years daniel became addicted to drum'n'bass, which opened him new views of sonic expressions. this unavoidable important influence allowed him to extend his perception of electronic music to create new dimensions.
daniel started several new projects to present his different faces. together with dejan samardcic he's very active with the project dots and dashes (on funktion & form, rtd). the project cleen is a collaboration with thorsten meier, n.e.w.t is created with andreas meyer and the other projects architect, mayr & s'apex are soloprojects of daniel. although there is always a unique common point of all his projects, each of them explores its own imaginary universe in its strongest way.
Since 1999, Iszoloscope has been an inventive and influential part of the
industrial music community, pushing the abstract conceptualization of isolation
into a powerful, ominous, and immersive world of dark sonic aesthetic that can
be called its very own. Iszoloscope bends pre-established stylistic constraints
while crossing paths with numerous musical sub-genres like: experimental,
electro-acoustic, dark ambient, rhythmic noise, power-noise, and break-core;
this artistic endeavor has set an exceptional standard in hybrid electronic
music.
Starting out as the name tagged on a set of experimental tracks composed by Yann Faussurier and François Bénard - both radio DJs in the Ottawa, Canada area in the late nineties. Iszoloscope gradually gained momentum locally until gathering some world-wide attention and credibility in 2001 performing at the German underground music festival Maschinenfest and releasing its debut album, "Coagulating Wreckage", on Belgium's Spectre Records.
By that time, François Bénard had left the project and Yann Faussurier was steering it towards the experimental release "Aquifère" on the Spectre/Nautilus label. Following this release was a successful American tour with Swedish project Tarmvred, featuring an armada of new rhythmic noise tracks laced with break-core influences. Since then, Iszoloscope has completed countless remixes, compilation appearances, 5 successful European tours, and a myriad of shows at international events across the planet from Australia to Japan to Europe to North America. In addition, there have been 3 full length releases on the German label Ant-Zen: "Au Seuil du Néant", "Les Gorges Des Limbes", and "The Audient Void" along with several EPs and collaborations on European labels: YB-70, Ad Noiseam, and Spectre Records.
Taken from the Italian phrase for computer that literally translates to electronic brain, Cervello Elettronico is the electronic musical act founded by David Christian aka Snarf.
Influenced by 80s Industrial and 90s Electronica, the project's inception in 2001 contributed to a new underground scene growing in the New York City area. Several demos and self released EPs were sold and openly distributed throughout the internet before the the act landed it's first live show supporting Manufatura and Terrorfakt in the spring of 2004 at NYC's legendary Albion night.
Since then Cervello Elettronico has performed more than 70 live performances all over the world including The Avalon in Los Angeles, Slimelight in London, Montreal, Mexico City, and at the Moritzbastei in Leipzig, Germany for Planet Myer Day V.

CAUSTIC was created in 2002 by Madison, Wis., DJ Matt Fanale (AKA Eurotic/Phoedull/Gloryhole). At first, the music totally sucked but people and pals were kind about it. Okay, well not really. SSR went kaput, but CRUNCH POD MEDIA snapped up CAUSTIC and so Caustic is on the same label as ENDIF, C/A/T, MANUFACTURA, THE OPERATIVE, CERVELLO ELETTRONICO, and AUTOCLAV 1.1. So CRUNCH POD is stuck with Caustic's dumb ass. (Now that this has been written I hope CP doesn't go out of business.)
Regardless, CAUSTIC's signed. The first album, "Unicorns, Kittens, & Shit" debuted in Spring 2006, to minor acclaim, although it did hit #1 on Metropolis' Top Ten for two weeks (some suspect foul play). In the meantime, CAUSTIC has been playing a shit-ton of show with acts much more important than he, such as This Morn' Omina, Combichrist, Babyland, Razed in Black, Bella Morte, Empusae, Terrorfakt, Manufactura, C/A/T, Hecate, Andraculoid, Grendel, among others.

Hailing from the Canadian electronic music underground after a decade of Techno and Industrial DJ and promotional work, Ad·ver·sary has provided North American tour support for such acts as Terrorfakt, Antigen Shift, Cyanotic, Adam X, Iszoloscope and others, and his many remixes of such Industrial Noise icons as Converter and Iszoloscope have enjoyed heavy club and airplay around the world.
Now, Ad·ver·sary is ready to conquer minds and destroy dancefloors with his debut album 'Bone Music' on Tympanik Audio. Hard Industrial rhythms meet enormous organic soundscapes to create what Re:Gen Magazine calls "…a balance between the brutal and the beautiful."
