2011 Venues ::

We are proud to announce the names for the new venues for the 2011 edition of the Kinetik Festival. Yes, you’ve read correctly, we said the VENUES :), to offer a new experience to an equal and if not better level than the other editions, the 4.0 edition will be held at Metropolis for the shows and vendors. This unique venue in Montreal has seen play in its location, many legends such as Bauhaus, Sisters Of Mercy, Bjork, Billy Idol, Chemical Brothers, David Bowie, Duran Duran, Kraftwerk, Marilyn Manson, Tiesto and many more. You will also have access, every night, to the Savoy lounge located directly in the Metropolis which will have a dance area with DJs and projections.

As for the Saturday May 21st, the shows will start at Club Soda and end at the Metropolis/Savoy. Due to an unavailability of the Metropolis in the evening, the event occurring at Club Soda (which is on the same street corner) will be as big as the rest of the festival. Please note that the tickets and passes for the Saturday night will be for both the event at Club Soda and the Metropolis.

Tickers in stores :

The sale of tickets in stores and on Admission will start very shortly and please note that we have postponed the ticket price change to March 20th to allow you to profit from the actual price. Also, note that due to a delay in the t-shirt production attached to the Diamond passes, we will start sending the passes mi-march.

Partnership with Metropolis Records :

We are proud to announce that Metropolis Records (natural partnership with this year venue name :) ) are back in the main partners of the Festival. Once again this year, the first 300 people who will buy a diamond pass will receive a cd, courtesy of Metropolis Records.

We are now proud to announce what many of you have been waiting for, the headliner for the May 23 rd date :

Kinetik Productions are proud to announce, for an exclusive show and a first in North-America, the coming of Suicide Commando [BE]! Do not miss this unique show with an electrifying set of more than 90 minutes!

We are also proud to present the addition of these bands for the May 19 and 23 nights

To wrap up the lineup for the Monday, we will transfer FGFC820 as well as Aesthetic Perfection to the May 23 rd night. Please note that we will soon announce the replacements for these bands for the Thursday May 19 th night.

We can now announce that the tickets for the Monday May 23 rd night are now on sale! For those who have already bought their tickets, please note that the May 23 rd night is NOT included in the diamond pass and needs to be bought separate.

Tickets // passes ::

We are proud to announce that the tickets/passes for the 2011 edition of the Kinetik Festival are now on sale! Please note that the Monday 23 rd night is NOT included in the diamond pass and will only be on sale as of January 1 st for contractual reasons. Please be sure to plan your trip in consequence because that night will be one of the more memorable ones! 2011 line up ::

For the final line-up, please note that as promised after the 2010 edition and to respond to many requests, we have reduced the number of bands per night to offer longer shows and avoid any problems with the schedule. Please note that we still have as many headliners as the 2010 edition of the festival. Go on the Line up section for more details.

2011 official hotel ::

We are also proud to give you the information on the official hotel for the 2011 edition of the festival. For a second year, the Hyatt Regency hotel Montreal is proud to provide you with special fares for your stay during the festival. Visit the Montreal section for more informations.

2011 venue ::

As for the information on the venue for 2011, we are currently finalizing details before making an official announcement, but what we can tell you for now is that it will have 2 sections (main section with the bands and second section for the lounge and djs, and will also have room for the vendors). Once again, it will be located in the heart of Montreal’s downtown (a few blocks from the official hotel) and is open to all (all-ages).

Once again, some people have heard of it; we are working hard on a possible addition that would bring a fifth day to the festival on May 23 rd. For people coming from afar, please wait until we make the announcement before booking your plane tickets, because we are sure this addition (if it happens) will be very much worth the wait.

Info on the 2011 hotel deals will be posted before December 15 th, be sure to look at it for special deals for the festival visitors.

Kinetik Festival t-shirt design contest

Now is the time for the 2011 t-shirt contest, the contest is open to all (some kind of knowledge in printing material could help), you only have to send before December 1st your proposal to this email with "t-shirt design contest" in the topic of the email. The winning concept will be decided by the Festival Kinetik team. The winner will receive for is work a full access festival pass + a t-shirt with is winning graphic.

The rules :


- The front art must include festival kinetik logo and formula
- The back art must include festival kinetik name and dates and must leave place for the festival bands line up and sponsor logo. Art can be planned to be behind the text (see the 2010 example)
- Proposal must only include 2 color (same for the front and back side) and if possible use the festival kinetik 2011 color and template (Yellow with the diagonals warning bars)
- Proposal must be send in one of those formats :

- Printing size must be a maximum of 15 inches wide by 24 inches high.

Here is the first annoucement of the preliminary list of bands for the 2011 edition of the Kinetik Festival :

Come visit us often, the majority of the bands should be announced before the end of November and the tickets should goes on sale mid-november.

For the rumors, yes this year's festival will be held in a new multi-function venue; after 3 years in the same venue, we believe this change will bring a new aspect to the festival. This new venue will be announced soon, but the first information we can say is that it will have 3 distinct rooms; one for the shows, one for the DJ section and one for the vendors as well as a catering area. Following some comments in 2010, this venue will have no sound/noise restriction... so for your ears' pleasure the sound will be played much LOUDER! :)

IMPORTANT : For people who have intended on buying their plane tickets or make their hotel reservations in the near future, we recommend to wait until until mid-november because special offers from our accommodation partners will soon be put up and also, a very special announcement COULD extend the duration of the festival!

For the time being, the event is for people over 18 years of age, but we are working on confirming access for all before the tickets are on sale.

For people coming from outside Canada, we wish to remind you that a passport is necessary for anyone wishing to enter Canada. Make sure to apply for your passport in advance if you don't already have one.
